I can’t stress how impressed I am by The Burning Crusade – it’s like I’m back in Westfall fireballing boars again!
Once you get past the Hellfire Peninsula stage you come to some more exotic and visually pleasing ground, one of which is Shattrath City. I took some screen shots of my visit there:

I’ve reached level 61 at last, which came quite easily once I sorted out my user interface – the default UI is unbearable and I think actually made me start to dislike the game due to the grave inaccessibility and lack of control for my character’s actions. I have at last found a very nice addon combination which is working well for me (especially now I can use the Thottbot coordinates in my questing!)

Thanks to the NurfedUI guys I’m able to use their NurfedUI Beta pack and an addon called Cartographer. I’m slightly upset that I wasn’t able to get a nice action bar replacement addon, but that isn’t as essential as the unit frames.

I’m starting to fall back from the Beta now – I don’t want to sink my free time now into a game that will essentially disappear in a matter of months, only to reappear in a previous state to consume yet more of my free time in the actual process of levelling. It’s like getting one of those dreaded roll-backs – only this one will be 3 months old, which makes testing the game that little bit less appealing.
