In the last post I said I was getting the train – which was true – but I encountered problems. The train I wanted to get was delayed by diversions and didn’t stop at Wakefield Westgate station. So I stayed in Nottingham and left the next day, which meant I was able to go out drinking in the city that night with Lindsay, Claire and Ched. I’ll try get some photos of each, but I think most people know who they are. Anyway, we went to a few bars then left at around 12:30, which was bad for me since my train (the only one without diversions) was leaving the station the next day at 9:06 so Lindsay had to drive me home at 8am to shower and get changed, then drive me to the station – I swear I was still drunk at the time, but we made it without any problems.

The photo session (the whole purpose for my visit home) went amazingly well. It took place in a building that looked like it was a converted garage in this guy’s back yard. His wife was the photographer, and she was great at making us smile and laugh for those all-important mid-moment shots. She took about a hundred and fifty photos which we reduced to 12, then ordered prints of 6 or 7 of them. I bought one which I guess I got for comedy value – I’ll scan and post it when it arrives.

So that was Easter Sunday – I arrived home at about 11pm and played PvP in WoW for a bit before falling asleep on my sofa. Hope you all had a good long-weekend too!
